Currently in his fifth year of study at Penn State University, John Melching is an Architectural Engineering student and will soon graduate in May of 2013 with a bachelor's degree. The focus of John's studies has been construction management. His studies in construction management has given him a
developed and clear understanding of construction documents and the culture surrounding the business management aspect of the building process.

In the summer months, John worked for two notable companies to further broaden his education and career opportunities. In the summer of 2011 John interned for The Mclaren Engineering Group, a firm dedicated to the advancement of high-end structures with an emphasis on unique projects. The following summer, John spent his time working with American Architectural Inc., a company that works heavily with intricate metal and glass finishing for buildings in New York, NY and the immediate surrounding area. His time at these companies has given him the valuable experience needed to confidently perform work in the workplace and further advance his career goals for the future.

Beyond the typical qualifications one would expect to hear about a young adult eagerly awaiting to enter the workplace, John also exhibits unique traits that are atypical to the average person. John has often been referred to as the "40-year-old 20-year-old." His understanding of human nature and
interaction is arguably unparalleled by his peers. Although young, John exhibits qualities of a seasoned professional and through hard work, personal experience, and learning from his own mistakes and others', he has cultured the confidence and know-how necessary to overcome any obstacle.
