Gregory Blatt
Currently, Greg is in his fifth year at Penn State and will be
graduating in May of 2004. He has been
studying Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Construction
Management. For the past three summers
Greg has had an internship in the Washington D.C. metropolitan
area. After his second year of college,
Greg interned at the Washington Convention
Center project with Clark Construction. There he was involved with change orders,
document control, and M/E/P coordination.
The following summer, Greg was with Clark doing estimating
for their Mid-Atlantic region. He worked
on estimates for a variety of projects in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Last summer, Greg was an intern with Gilbane Building Company at the United States Capitol Visitors Center project. While at the Capitol Visitors Center, Greg worked on
steel and concrete submittals and RFI’s. During the school year, Greg is part of the
set-up crew at Recreation Hall. He is
the head of the crew and he manages and trains the crew to set-up and tear-down
for various sporting events on Penn State’s campus. For the past 2 years, Greg has been involved
with the Design-Build Institute of America, DBIA, and the Student Chapter for
the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence, S:PACE. This school year, he is one of the Job
Placement officers for S:PACE. Also, Greg has been active member in the
Student Society of Architectural Engineers, SSAE, for the past 4 years. Currently, he is a Class Representative for
SSAE.
