AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

I foresee the lessons learned throughout Senior Thesis being indispensable in my future endeavors. Thesis was so much more than can be described with the work presented. For every paragraph that made it into the final report, there was extensive research, and inevitable failure. That is what makes this project so unique. It is a hand-on learning process, facilitated by some of the greatest and most genuinely concerned staff, faculty and consultants in the world. Despite not winning any awards, I feel proud every day when I think about what I was a part of during this project. It represents the culmination of the breadth and depth of studies we have endured in this renowned program of Architectural Engineering. It is also a fitting end in that it serves to prepare us for what lies ahead, in the next steps of life. We will be no stranger to the challenges that await us, and be all the more capable to surmount them when they do arise.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

I never directly utilized the discussion boards, although they were an invaluable resource. I was sure to read ongoing discussions from all branches of our study to keep current on the issues and concerns facing me and my peers. I was surprised to see the promptness and thoroughness with which questions were answered. Even after one source provided an answer, another practitioner would provide additional insight, or another perspective. This truly demonstrates the comradery that presents itself between professionals in our field.
