AE 481W and 482 Reflection:

Completing a senior thesis project has been a very fulfilling end to my academic career and has proved to be a valuable experience. Analyzing the existing systems in-depth during the fall semester was a very important part of the overall redesign process, and learning to apply standards and think critically through an existing system is a valuable skill to learn while still in school. The spring semester allowed for more freedom in topic choice and creating a personalized work schedule. It was a great way to learn about systems that may not have come up in standard curriculum, and designing these systems on a personalized schedule was great preparation for a future designer or engineer.

CPEP Reflection:

Creating a website to display the work completed this year allowed for the development of online communication skills as well as the freedom to personalize and professionaly publish work for free. Having a completed website that showcases my work as well as my own professional development is a satisfying feeling. The individual CPEP websites let students and alumni alike see the work that all AE seniors have been putting in throughout the year, and the archived projects allow current students to learn from previous students.
