Same scenario as discussed earlier, except that a multi-pass simulation has been used to aid the planner/scheduler.  The same model can be used at real-time or at a faster time factor.  Different scheduling rules, for example, can be analyzed using the fast mode simulation model. These decisions can then be conveyed to the planner which “instructs” the real0time model accordingly.
