Reflection

AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

The 5th year AE senior thesis is a great way to apply all of the knowledge learned through my time spent at Penn State. Working with an actual building project helped me to learn many of the aspects of designing a structural system in a building. Although it has been a lot of work, I feel that it is necessary to do a project such as this in order to display what I have learned in the many courses taken and how to apply my engineering knowledge. Although I have learned a lot, this has also made me realize how much more there is to learn and that this is only the beginning of what I will encounter as a practicing engineer.

 CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

There is no better way to learn than to have the interaction with professionals who are experienced at what they do. I would like to thank everybody who has participated in the discussion board and provided valuable insight into the many projects and problems faced with each thesis. This information is not all job specific, but can be applied in one way or another to many engineering problems. I feel that this was and excellent way to take care of the many questions that have come up through the past months.
