Personal Bio

Andrew Rhodes is currently a fifth year Architectural Engineering student at the Pennsylvania State University.  He is pursuing his Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degrees as part of Penn State’s integrated BAE/MAE program.  Specializing in Building Mechanical System Design, Andrew will graduate in May 2007.  In his time at Penn State, he has been a member of ASHRAE, the Student Society of Architectural Engineers, and Phi Alpha Epsilon, the Architectural Engineering Honor Society.

Andrew has spent the past three summers gaining real-world experience through internships.  He worked for Hayes Large Architects in his hometown of Altoona, PA following his sophomore and junior years.  This past summer, while interning with Southland Industries in Sterling, VA, he worked on the mechanical system designs for the Pentagon renovation and for Eli Lilly’s new insulin manufacturing plant in Manassas, VA.

Following graduation, Andrew will return to Southland Industries as a Design Engineer with hopes to someday become a fully licensed Professional Engineer.
