Technical AssignmentsTechnical Assignment 1 Technical Assignment 1 is to describe the physical Structrual System as is. Items included in this report are the foundations, super structure, lateral resisting system, and roof. There are photos and details from the original drawings to better represent each system. There are also calculations to determine wind, seismic, and gravity loads and their effects on the building. Technical Assignment 2 Technical Assignment 2 is to research, analyze, design, and evaluate alternative floor systems for Vickroy Hall. There are photos, PDFs, Handbook charts, and calculations to develop the arguments to whether the systems should be further investigated. Technical Assignment 3 Technical Assignment 3 is to analyze the Lateral Resisting System of Vickroy Hall. This is done through the use of hand calculations and an ETABS computer model. The lateral loads have been recalculated from Technical Assignment 1 to conform to the accepted Code (IBC 2003 and ASCE-07).
