Kevin Kaufman

Kevin Kaufman is in his fifth year of study at The Pennsylvania State University where he is enrolled in the Architectural Engineering curriculum.  He is currently pursuing the integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree in the mechanical option.  He is planning to graduate in December of 2007.  Kevin has had the opportunity for the past two summers to work as an intern for H.F. Lenz Company of Johnstown, PA.  During his experience, Kevin was able to expand his understanding of the HVAC consulting industry as well as gain valuable experience in the design of mechanical systems.  In his free time at Penn State, Kevin enjoys being an active member of several student organizations.  He is currently the secretary of the Penn State Student Branch of the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).  As a member of the ASHRAE organization, Kevin was a member of the Penn State team that entered the ASHRAE Student Design Competition which placed first in both the System Selection and System Design categories.  Kevin is also an active member of Campus Crusade for Christ where he leads a weekly bible study and participates in various trips, conferences, and outreaches.  One his favorite trips included traveling to New Orleans in March of 2006 to participate in the relief efforts after hurricane Katrina.  Upon graduation, Kevin plans to pursue a challenging and innovative career in the consulting industry, and hopes to work toward obtaining his license as a professional engineer.
