AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

Throughout the year, the AE Senior Thesis process provided the constand challenge of engineering and time management. During the Fall semester, the initial Techincal Assignments force the student to learn all the essentials of the selected building. These assignments also provide an opportunity for the student to refine and become more familiar with previously learnd analytical skills. Once the spring semseter begins, I believe that each student can acheive or learn as much as he/she wants. The effort put forthe by the student, and the student alone, dictates the overall experience. Choosing to study a particular aspect of construction or design that is most interesting to the individual seems to be the key to a successful experience. For myself, the entire process was worthwhile, and I feel more prepared to undertake the challenges of a "real life" work environment.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

The discussion board was a very useful tool during the entire thesis process. The ability to interact with industry professionals and gain an outside perspective on design procedures and construction logic only added to this learning process.
