BIOGRAPHY

Rodrick was born in Latrobe, PA in 1984 as the youngest of four children to a mechanical engineer and a homemaker.  He entered the Derry Area School system in 1989 at the age of 6 and continued through high school graduation in 2002.  While in high school he was a varsity member on the baseball program for two years and on the soccer team for three years, one of which he served as team captain.

In the fall of 2002 Rodrick began his first semester at The Pennsylvania State University.  After his first two semesters Rod was admitted into the Architectural Engineering program and into the Schreyer Honors College.  During his second and third summers at Penn State he worked in the drafting room at Latrobe Steel.  While there he was hired part time by a mechanical contractor, Mullin Refrigeration Services, to assist with project scheduling and project meetings.  During his fourth summer Rod was hired by ThermalTech Engineering Consultants, where he worked on a number of engineering projects generating professional exposure to CAD, writing schedules and drawing notes, using mechanical modeling programs such as Trane Trace, selecting cooling coils & condensing units, creating excel files for owners and design calculations,  along with writing small reports.

Rodrick expects to graduate in the fall of 2007 with an integrated bachelor and masters degree in Architectural Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.
