The Structural Concepts and Existing Conditions report includes an in-depth look at the existing structural system of the building. Provided is an overall description of the structural system including slabs, columns, and shear walls. Loads are calculated for gravity, wind and seismic and spot checks are performed to evaluate the existing structure.

Pro/Con Study of Alternate Floor Systems

The Pro/Con Study of Alternate Floor Systems report included a preliminary design and analysis on five framing systems. These systems include a flat plate concrete slab, a two way concrete slab, precast double tees and girders, composite steel beams, and composite steel bar joists. A list of advantages, disadvantages and costs per square foot are included for each system to determine if any other framing options are feasable designs.

Lateral System Analysis and Confirmation Design

The Lateral System Analysis and Comfirmation Design report includes and analysis and design of the existing lateral system of the Towers. Using the loads calculated in Technical Assignment 1, checks were done for strength, torsion, drift and foundations size for the shear walls in the building.
