AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

This is a reflection of my senior thesis experience over the past two semesters. Although both courses required an immense amount of time, both 481W and 482 were well worth it.

Previous to entering the fall semester, thesis was overwhelming to think about everything that needed to be accomplished over the following year. After finishing 1 of 3 technical assignments, things became more comfortable and realistic to complete. The rest of the technical assignments prepared us to make a proposal as to what we would like to focus on for the next semester. The fall semester served as a great way to get us to become familiar with our buildings and in turn prepare us for upcoming endevours in the spring semester.

Entering into the spring semester, it was apparent 482 would be a long enduring process. However, never had I expected it to be as much work and effor as I actually put into it. With this said, the work I put into my redesign provided me with the most important and practical knowledge. Finally I believe all the class leading up to this point gave me the ability to complete AE 482, just as 482 provided me with the knowledge to know go out in the real world and become successful practicing engineer.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

Over the past year, my experience with CPEP and discussion board was very minimal.  The CPEP webpage was a requirement for all students, and was a good tool to provide professionals access to students thesis work throughout the semester. The discussion board was also a useful tool to communicate between professionals, professors, and students.
