ANDREW SOLOMON

Andrew is currently in his 5th year his 5 year professional degree in Architectural Engineering. In May of 2006 he will graduate with a BAE focused in structural design and he plans to pursue this with a career in the field. During the school year Andrew has found it very rewarding to help introduce 2nd year students into the field of building design by ta'ing since his 4th semester. He helps students see what they will be doing in each option (Structural, Construction Management, Lighting/Electrical, and Mechanical) before they need to declare an option. During the summers, Andrew has worked in a demolition and asbestos abatement office, 2 construction firms, and has spent a winter break and summer learning about structural design with the help from Baker, Ingram, and Associates. Andrew's short term goal in structural design is to join a firm where he will gain the necessary experience to proficiently take the PE exam. Andrew's long term goals are to gain the experience to lead the design team for new and interesting building designs.
