Executive Summary:

The Cancer Institute at PSHMC is a five-story, 175,000 square foot facility that will be the new center of cancer research and treatment technologies for the hospital. The building is part of a phased expansion plan adopted in 2002 that answers concerns of future student shortages and a growing central Pennsylvania community. With the recent completion of the Oncology Treatment Building, the current Parking Garage and Cancer Institute projects, and future plans for a Children's Hospital, PSHMC will secure its reputation as a premier teaching hospital for years to come.
