'Bio'

Chris is currently in his fifth year of Architectural Engineering at Penn State, specializing in Lighting and Electrical systems of buildings.  He plans on graduating in December of 2007, with both a BAE and MAE Degree in Architectural Engineering.

Chris originally was interested in the AE program because he enjoyed designing buildings, and working construction for his brother.  Through the years at Penn State his vision of the future swayed slightly.  Due to the unknown future of energy and our environment, he has become very interested in daylight design, energy savings and green building theory.

In the past two summers Chris has worked in the Electrical Department (with some lighting design) of Astorino in Pittsburgh, Pa, and Kling in Washington, D.C.  At both of these A/E firms he developed his skills understanding the electrical systems of buildings, and coordination between the engineering disciplines.  Working alongside architects also allowed him to see their perspective of a building design.  His building experience includes work on hospitals, a prison, office, laboratory, and data center.

Chris has recently passed the Fundamental of Engineering Exam and will be pursuing his PE once he graduates.  He also intends to get his LEED certificate within the next year.  In his free time he is a member of SSAE and IESNA.  Out of school he is a huge sports fan and really enjoys playing baseball when he can.
