Thesis Proposal

Clouser_Proposal_Revised.pdf
The revised proposal submits a proposed problem of an overall height limitation on The Weinberg Center. The floor to floor heights of floors 2-6 will be limited to 12'-0". Elevations up to floor 2 will be changed to accomedate existing elevations that connect to the elevated walkway and the parking garage. A redesign of the structural system as a post-tensioned concrete beam and slab will be the solution to this problem. The redesigned system will be compared to the existing on such things as cost (materials and labor), constructability, and the project timetable.

Clouser_Proposal.pdf
This Thesis Proposal will develope alternate structural systems for The Weinberg System. The alternate systems are both post-tensioned concrete beam with the difference between them being one will have a height restriction placed on it. The purpose of doing this is to see if a competitive (economically and constructability) system can be designed in both cases.

Clouser_Breadth.pdf
My breadth work for this thesis proposal will be the design of a 20 person conference room. To complete this design I will develope a lighting and acoustical system for this conference room.
