Thesis Abstract
Executive Summary
The Virginia Commonwealth University Life Sciences Building is a 123,500 s.f. laboratory and classroom facility. It is broken up into 2 buildings connected by a walkway on the second floor of each. The classroom building is 2 stories tall and houses 2 large lecture halls and a few smaller classrooms. The laboratory building is 3 stories tall plus a basement. It functions mainly as a research facility with many different laboratories, offices, and a greenhouse throughout.
