Eric is in his fifth year of study as an Architectural Engineering student at The Pennsylvania State University.  In his fourth year, he was accepted into the integrated bachelor and masters program offered by the AE department.  Eric intends to graduate in the fall of 2007 with a Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degree, specializing in building structural systems.  Eric has acquired a working knowledge in the areas of advanced wood, steel, and concrete design through his course work as an AE structural student.  While focusing on the structural aspects of buildings, he has also studied the architecture, mechanical systems, lighting and electrical systems, construction management, and acoustics of buildings.  This broad array of knowledge secured him an internship at the architecture and engineering firm, Bergmann Associates, in Rochester, NY.  There, he gained valuable real world experience by working on both architectural and structural engineering projects in the summer of 2006.

Eric is a member of the Phi Alpha Epsilon National Architectural Engineering Honor Society, the Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE), and the Structural Engineers Association (SEA) at Penn State.  In his free time he participates on intramural softball, basketball, and football teams and enjoys drawing/cartooning whenever he can.  When Eric graduates he plans on obtaining a Professional Engineers license, as well as becoming a registered Architect.
