AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

Senior thesis was deffinitely worth all the work that went into it. This has been, by far, the most indepth and time consuming project which I have ever worked on. It has also been one of the most valuable experiences in my time at Penn State. Being set on the right track in AE 481W and forced to analyze our building as a whole allowed me to have the base necessary to develop my own project in the spring semester. AE 482 was an eye-opener as well, being that I have never had a class where the only one pushing me to complete my project was myself, with a little help from my advisor. I feel that this is much more like the "real world" we are all trying so hard to get ready for, and it gave me a better taste of what to expect once I enter the profession. Having to give a final presentation and defend my final analysis was also a good experience for me, especially since I have always hated getting up in front of people and presenting.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

Being that this was supposed to be a class readying us for a professional career and atmosphere, I am glad we were made to use the CPEP website format. It allowed us to have a professional medium for allowing others to conveniently view our work. It also allowed us to post and submit our endevors in a format which we could eventually be proud of. The discussion boards also were a very special tool, one which I did not use as much as I maybe should have, and I regret now not tapping into this source more often. Thank you to all the industry professionals who aided us along the way.
