AE 481W/482 Course Reflection
I felt the course helped with my knowledge of the other options by requiring me to complete breadths, such as coordination, but I felt like I didn’t learn much new for lighting.  I felt like I was completing a more in-depth lighting project.  I did learn a little more about AGI, but I also know AGI isn’t used in the industry much because of liability reasons.  For the electrical portion, I felt like I wasn’t prepared and had a difficult time completing the required topics.  I do feel however, that I have a greater knowledge of electrical components/systems that I can use when I graduate, but not as much as I should have considering I am graduating with a five year degree.
In regards to 481W, I liked the process we had to complete where we had to figure out the existing conditions.  This is something we will have to do in the industry for any renovation job.  I also liked how we were required to give presentations at Lutron.  I felt more prepared for our final presentations which in the end, took a lot of stress out of our final few weeks of thesis.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection
I myself did not use the discussion board except for the one required question.  This is because I had a great contact at Weigand Associates who could answer pretty much any question I had.  Although, I think the discussion board is a great resource for students who might not have the access to a helpful contact.
The CPEP site is more useful for the professors than the students because it gives them one place to go and look at all the required work that has been completed, but on the students’ side, I thought it decreased my efficiency of production.  It takes time to go and update a website and make corrections constantly.  In the end, unless there is another way for professors to check work, currently it is the best solution.
