
Todd Newswanger's Bio
Todd is currently a fifth-year architectural engineering student at the Pennsylvania State University working toward his Bachelor degree of Architectural Engineering. Within the program he has chosen to focus on the mechanical option and intends to graduate in May 2007.
Todd studied abroad at the Leeds University in Leeds, England during the Fall 2005 semester. While in Europe, he was able to visit nine countries. In the summer of 2006 Todd was an intern for RTKL Associates Inc. where he gained invaluable work experience. While working in the office Todd designed air side systems, performed calculations, and worked on a major renovation project as well as participated in site visits.
Todd is involved in extracurricular activities such as the student branch of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He has been a member of ASHRAE since 2004 and was the Leeds representative for the 2005/2006 academic year. Todd has been a member of the Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE) as well as a member of the Student chapter of the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence (S:PACE). During his free time Todd is an avid mountain biker, a fan of sports, enjoys traveling, and also likes to participate in intramural sports.
After graduation Todd plans to pursue a career in Mechanical System Design and plans to obtain his license as a Professional Engineer at the earliest possible date.
