Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in‐progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Jason Witterman. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design. |

Overall, I think Senior Thesis is a great transition from classroom learning to real world application. Specifically, I think my time management skills were greatly improved. With no intermediate deadlines for most of the semester, I was forced to develop a schedule that I thought was appropriate and stick to it as much as possible. At the same time, I learned that time constraints play a significant role in the consideration of alternative designs. While quality should never be sacrificed, at a certain point the decision must be made to continue with the best possible solution to date.
I think the CPEP is also a great way to publish my findings. My e-portfolio allowed me to quickly share data about my project with those who were helping me. This can be especially important when asking questions through the discussion board where the recipients many not know much about the project beforehand. Similarly, I think it was a great way to organize all of my work so I can share it with others in the future.
