Technical Assignments
Technical Assignment #1
Technical Assignment #1 is intended to ensure that the student is familiar with conditions in which their building is constructed. Included in this assignment are the following: a project schedule summary, a summary of the building systems, a project cost evaluation, a site plan of existing conditions, local conditions, client information, an overview of the delivery system, and a staffing plan.
Technical Assignment #2
Technical Assignment #2 is an analysis of the costs and methods for a construction project. Included in this assignment are a project schedule, a site layout plan, an assemblies estimate, an estimate of the structural system, and a general conditions estimate.
Technical Assignment #3
Technical Assignment #3 is a look at potential alternate methods and reseach topics for further development in a proposal. Included are critical industry issues from the PACE roundtable, a critical research method, problem identification, technical analysis methods, and a weight matrix showing how time will be spent in the spring semester. |
