REFLECTION Senior thesis provided an excellent opportunity to apply knowledge gained in the classroom and additionally overcome obstacles that are presented in real building construction. It demanded a better understanding of the integration of different building systems. The study of disciplines outside of one’s own option was a great learning experience. Time management skills became essential in achieving goals set at the beginning of the spring semester. It became vital to find a balance between time constraints and finding the best possible results. The CPEP website was a useful tool in organizing and tracking progress made during the year. The discussion board allowed for collaboration with professionals on practical building applications.
The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web-based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year-long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
