TECHNICAL ASSISNMENT 1

This technical report summarizes existing conditions and design procedures relating to the structural design of the Coppin State Univeristy Physical Education Complex. Information includes design concepts, building codes, loading information for gravity and lateral loads and spot checks for certain members.

TECHNICAL ASSISNMENT 2

This technical report analyzes the existing flooring system along with 4 possible alternaive systems for the Coppin State University Physical Education Complex. This report will provide supporting information on each system and outline whether or not the system could be a viable alternative to the existing system.

The existing and alternative flooring systems are:
Existing System: Composite Steel
Alternative 1: Composite Deck on Open-web Steel Joists
Alternative 2: Flat Slab
Alternative 3: Hollow-core Precast Planks on Steel Frame
Alternative 4: Girder-Slab

TECHNICAL ASSISNMENT 3

This technical report summarizes the lateral system used in the arena of the Coppin State University Physical Education Complex. The arena uses a combination of braced frames, moment frames, and roof trusses as the lateral system.

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants.
