AE 481W/482 Course Reflection:

Penn State AE Senior Thesis (AE 481W/482) provided a great opportunity to further individual study based on interests while interacting with real world examples. Through this experience I have not only learned much in structures, acoustics, and construction management, but I have also gained knowledge with regards to time management, professional interaction, and professional research procedures. All of this new knowledge shall prove to be useful as I further my career.

 

CPEP and Discussion Board Reflection:

The digital side of Senior Thesis provided a unique experience for all that were involved. The Discussion Board allowed quick access to a wide range of professionals willing to help and guide us in the right direction. Without their help many of us would still be lookin for information. The CPEP may have been time consuming to create and maintain, but it provided a helpful tool when discussing the project with professors and professionals.


     

 

 

The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web‐based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year‐long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
