● While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in‐progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Wesley Lawson. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Senior Thesis Reflection
This Senior Thesis was an outstanding project. I believe that the experience in analyzing the existing systems in the first semester will be very helpful in the future when renovating a system or attempting to decipher problems. That said, the design from beginning to the end done in the second semester was also extremely helpful. It will be good for future employers to know what we are capable of doing. I think it was extremely important to do one large project to surmise the last five years of education that we all received in the PSU Department of Architectural Engineering. I also believe that the research and experimentation of this project will be extremely helpful in the future when leading projects of my own.
CPEP Evaluation
I think it was very useful as a learning tool to see a variety of projects. I am also grateful that those who have helped me through my project have a chance to see what I have put together throughout the year.
The Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web-based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year-long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering. For an explanation of this capstone design course and its requirements click here. |
