Cost/Schedule Information received and analyzed |
3/16/09--
Topic 1 (95%)- Awaiting findings from Critical Industry issue to finalize. Also need to complete distribution system for BIPV panels and create cost schedule
Topic 2 (95%)- Finalizing results and contacts with local programs. Still looking for local case study. Reviewing additional materials provided by industry contact.
Topic 3 (85%)- Research is nearly complete and is in the review process. Most of the local and state incentives are not as expected and reward the project with larger areas rather than revenues. Federal programs are still being assessed.
Topic 4 (NA)- There is no survey to be conducted
Topic 5 (10%)- Awaiting results from the research into local, state, and federal rebates, incentives, and tax credits. This should finish quickly following the results of the research.
Topic 6 (25%)- Building model has been created, but analysis is moving slow.
Topic 7 (25%)- Communication break downs and issues with industry contact have caused delays in this analysis. See recovery plan for more details.
Topic 8 (10%)- See Topic 7
Topic 9 (50%)- Information has been obtained and is under review
Recovery- Work on the final analysis is top priority for the upcoming week. Contact has been made with industry representatives to assist in the analysis and a meeting will be scheduled with my advisor to access the analyses nearly complete and in progress to verify contents. For those analyses nearly complete, they will begin to find their way into the final report towards the end of the week.

Update to2/9/09 milestones (2/23/09)
Topic 1 (100%) Complete
Topic 2 (100%) Complete
Topic 3 (95%) Contacting local Demand Response program for final information on cost and availability
Topic 4 (95%) Generator study is complete, developing cost benefit analysis
2/9/09--
Topic 1 (50%) Initial scenarios have been created and a shadow study started. Results and further investigation is necessary.
Topic 2 (90%) No response from owner, contact again on 2/11/09. Information from design has been obtained and is being evaluated. Contact with the local utility will follow discussion with owner representatives to allow information release.
Topic 3 (65%) Research has begun but with little results. Local companies specializing in demand shift/shave/response have been identified and contacted. Awaiting information about programs. Contact with 2 industry representatives has been established and information has been acquired.
Topic 4 (10%) Generator information has been reviewed and study to begin this week with completion by 2/13/09. All information has been collected and investigation is the next step
Proposed Recovery Finish the required milestone 1 activities if necessary and provide extra time this week to complete requirements. Contact with owner will now be pushed more than a weekly attempt for information and if no contact is established, the information from the contractor will be accepted. Meetings with individuals familiar with energy projects will also be arranged to avoid research "in the dark" and to acquire a direction.
