AE 481/882 Course Reflection
Senior Thesis is a yearlong project in which Architectural Engineering students select a building which has been recently constructed or is currently under construction. The first semester consists of a familiarization and investigation into the various systems in the building through 3 technical reports. After completion of the technical reports, a proposal is created and completed the following semester.
From the my Senior Thesis, I have obtained the valuable skills necessary to begin actual project work. Senior Thesis has pushed me to understand complex concepts used everyday in structural design. Working with the overall design of a structural system, I am now able to effectively link the courses taught in the AE curricullum.
CPEP Reflection
The CPEP page is an efficient and useful way to organize and share information. I have had a great exprience using the webpage feature and would recommend for future use.
Discussion Board Reflection
The thesis discussion board was very useful in regard to answering questions which could only be answered by industry professionals. This proved to be usefull in the design of atypical structural systems.
ABET Outcome Survey
Important Note: These outcomes reflect a personal (student) assessment of the course, not the instructor's assessment.
