AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

The course work in AE 481 and AE 482 provided us with a valuable experience that tied together our knowledge and studies over the past 5 years. Also with the breadth requirements I became more knowledgeable in areas outside of my studies that helped provide a well rounded AE education. The construction depth requirements allowed me to dig deeper into some of the pressing issues in the construction industry. Also all of the AE 481 and 482 work helped improve my communication skills with design professionals and industry members. Overall I feel that the thesis course work over the past year was a worthwhile culmination to my education and has helped prepare me to work in the construction industry.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

I feel that posting our thesis work and results on our CPEP webpage was an efficient way to share our work with industry professionals and future students. It also provided us with the freedom to design and post our information on a medium that is up to modern technology standards. With very little previous web design experience I was able to learn a new skill with the use of research and trial and error. The discussion board was also a valuable tool throughout this year because it enabled us to communicate with industry members and receive ideas and feedback.
