Final Report
The following report contains a comprehensive study of the structural system of Park Potomac Office Building "E." An alternative structural system is explored in depth, along with a few broader topics as well. A steel structural system is proposed as an alternative to the current post-tensioned concrete structure. Additionally, the architectural impacts are considered as well as the cost and schedule implications that would result from the changes in the structural system.
