WelcomeThe Roberts Pavilion is an 11-story patient care center at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. The pavilion contains a 30-bed intensive care unit, two 30-bed medical/surgical nursing units, 120 additional patient rooms, new laboratories, and a new surgical center. From the lobby to the patient rooms, the design of the building invokes a sense of peace and healing. Skylights and large windows provide natural light, while water features, warm colors, architectural woodwoork, and bamboo plantings all contribute to the sense that the building is meant to be a "healing garden." Through this design Cooper has given their patients a soothing space to escape the busy and urban city outside.
