Brad Robertson is a 5th year student of Architectural Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. He will graduate in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in Lighting/Electrical Design. Brad is a student member of many professional organizations such as the Penn State Chapter of the Architectural Engineering Institute (Student Society of Architectural Engineers), International Association of Lighting Designers, Illuminating Engineering Society, and the National Electrical Contractors Association.
In the summer of 2013, Brad interned at JBA Consulting Engineers in Las Vegas, Nevada. During his internship he had the opportunity to work on projects ranging from small scale retail and restaurant renovations, to large scale domestic and international casinos. He gained knowledge in the electrical design process as well as improved his drafting skills in AutoCAD.
Outside of class, Brad is serving his second year as the Vice President of the Penn State Student Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). The student run group has been working closely with their parent chapter, Penn-Del-Jersey, to compete in the Electri International Green Energy Challenge. The Penn State team won a second place finish in the national competition during the annual NECA conference in Washington, D.C. this fall.
