Senior Thesis Reflection |
The past year has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Before this year I felt like I knew a decent amount of information about structural engineering. Now, after having completed my senior thesis, I realize just how much there truly is to learn and just how much I didn't know. Although there were times where I felt like I wasn't going to be able to handle all the work that thesis brings, I can now look back on my completed work with a sense of pride. This year I had the experience of applying my classroom knowledge to a real world situation. I learned the importance of time management and organization, and I had the experience of independent learning in which I explored a new design program and a new structural system. Even though I had the opportunity to explore all of this on my own, I also had the privilege of going through it all with all of the incredible friends that I have made over the last five years. |
CPEP Reflection |
I really enjoyed having the chance to create and use my CPEP website over the last year. At the beginning of my senior thesis I didn't realize the full potential of the CPEP websites. As the year progressed I found myself using it to look back at past student's work, and also view work completed by my fellow classmates. The CPEP site allowed me to keep my work very organized, and helped others outside of my class really get the big picture of what my thesis project was about. |
