Senior Thesis Reflection:

The Penn State Senior Thesis Project incorported knowledge learned from 5 years' Architectural Engineering Curriculum, studied the design and construction techniques regarding Twin Rivers Elementary/Intermediate School at McKeesport. During the fall semester, three in-depth technical reports were composed to studied the construction process and the technical details. In the spring semester, proposals were conducted based on the technical reports from the fall semster in an effort to find alternative solutions to the more challenging issues of the project. Four analysis was conducted to improve the overall construction outcome in terms of cost, schedule and building efficiency. All of the work was then compiled into a final report and presentation. All the analyses were for educational purposes only. The senior thesis is a great education exprience on how to efficiently conduct research and analyze building systems while looking for alternative means to optimize the construction outcome. The Senor Thesis Capstone Project is a comperhensive study that enhance my understanding of the construction process as a whole.

CPEP Reflection

The Capstone E-Portfolio is a great organizational tool for students to document and show their work. It allows students, faculty and professionals to comprehensive organize and showcase their work. This tool is especially useful for the purpose of senior thesis.
