Although technology is a key aspect of sustainability, Jacob's Ladder will encompass a more complete role by properly caring for and nurturing the children.

At the existing Mustard Seed sites, caretakers are the main source of mental stimulation for the children. How could additional methods of stimulation be used to develop the minds of the Mustard Seed youth?

This question sparked the interest of some Penn State students who are now working to create a system or design which would provide residents with an additional source of sensory interaction?

A possible solution to this problem fell into the laps of the students... dew.
