Welcome to Malory J. Faust's AE Senior Thesis e-Portfolio

While in pursuit of her Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering at Penn State, Malory has kept herself busy through various activities around campus. Since Freshman year, she has been an active member of the Society of Women Engineers. In the society, Malory has filled many different roles including committee chair positions, Director of University Relations, and currently Officer of Student Relations. In addition to this Malory has been in volved in the Women in Engineering Program, and THON OPP committee where she helped PSU raise over $4 million to fight pediatric cancer. Since music has always been an enormous part of Malory's life, she loves to play viola in her family's string quartet whenever she is back in Milwaukee.

Although originally from Wisconsin, Malory has spent her last two summers interning in the Washington, D.C. area. In 2005, she worked on many exciting projects with the engineers and architects at SmithGroup including the Defense Intelligence Analysis Center. Even though her experience at the A/E firm was invaluable, Malory decided to work for R. G, Vanderweil Engineers the following summer where she learned an incredible amount not only from the several design projects she worked on, but also the work she did with the operations and maintenance team at Fannie Mae's Reston Data Center.

After Malory's May 2007 graduation, she will be rejoining Vanderweil Engineers to pursue a career in mechanical systems design and work toward obtaining her license as a professional engineer.

The pstone Project Electronic Portfolio (CPEP) is a web-based project and information center. It contains material produced for a year-long Senior Thesis class. Its purpose, in addition to providing central storage of individual assignments, is to foster communication and collaboration between student, faculty consultant, course instructors, and industry consultants. This website is dedicated to the research and analysis conducted via guidelines provided by the Department of Architectural Engineering.
