Architecture

The Harman Elementary school was originally built in 1955 at the site, and renovated only once in 1969. Now 50 years after it was built 676 children in Harman elementary school is getting a new school.
The School is a 78,000 square foot new building to be constructed at the same location of the old Harman Elementary School. It is an efficient and flexible state-of-the-art elementary school with Administrative, special education, gymnasium, cafeteria, media center, and extended day facilities.  The work also includes demolition and abatement of the existing building. 
There are partially two story class room wings and single story kindergarten and pre-kindergarten wing for this building. The building has brick exterior envelope, steel frame and masonry bearing wall. The roofing system of the building is 4-ply built-up asphalt with aggregate surfacing. There are no any historical restrictions for this project and the zoning is R-3 Residential.
