Jessica R. Baker is a fifth year Architectural Engineering student at the Pennsylvania State University. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degrees, specializing in Building Mechanical System Design and intends to graduate in May 2005. Throughout her college career, Jessica has participated in several summer internships which have given her the experience to move forward with her career in Architectural Engineering. She worked for James G. Davis Construction Corporation in Rockville, MD performing construction management following her sophomore year. After her junior year, Jessica carried out building mechanical system design for H.F. Lenz Company in Johnstown, PA. This past summer, she spent her time working on the mechanical systems for the Pentagon and United States Census Bureau Building at Southland Industries in Sterling, VA. During her free time, Jessica enjoys being a student representative for the Penn State Architectural Engineering Department, as well as, the treasurer for the student chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Jessica is also the secretary for the Architectural Engineering Honor Society, Phi Alpha Epsilon, and is enrolled in the Penn State Schreyer Honors College. Following graduation, Jessica intends to return to Southland Industries as a mechanical design engineer and hopes to someday obtain her license as a professional engineer.
