Christopher S. Glinski

In his early years, Christopher was introduced to the many monumental buildings in the city of Philadelphia. From his frequent trips into center city, he acquired a strong interest in these structures and the process behind their development. Throughout his high school career, Chris performed exceedingly well in the subjects of math, science, and engineering / drafting. Towards the end of high school, he enrolled in an architecture class and traveled weekly to center city Philadelphia to receive instruction from industry professionals. As a result of this combination of engineering/drafting classes and his architecture lessons, Christopher knew that his enrollment in Penn State's Architectural Engineering program would be an ideal match.

Currently, Chris is pursuing his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Architectural Engineering with Construction Management emphasis at Penn State. In this program, he decided to get involved in the student group S:PACE (Student Chapter of the Partnership for Achieving Construction Excellence). Today, Chris is serving as the president of this organization. Last spring, he was honored with the Hettema Leadership Award for his demonstration of commitment to the development of leadership skills and professional competencies.

For the past three summers, Chris has interned for three highly respected companies: Bovis Lend Lease, Gilbane Building Company, and Forrester Construction Company. Some of his responsibilities included: commissioning of pharmaceutical facilities, scheduling, estimating, buyout, utility coordination, the review/writing of scopes, and the review/processing of submittals.

Chris plans to graduate in December 2006. After graduation he plans to enter the industry and eventually pursue his PE and a Masters of Business.
