Hiro McNulty graduated from the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High in 2000. In his senior year in high school, he participated in the PACE – Early to College program at Penn State Altoona. After graduation, he enrolled at Penn State Altoona to begin his degree in Architectural Engineering, transferring to the University Park campus after his first year. Hiro has focused his studies in the structural design option of the major and will complete his integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s of Architectural Engineering degrees in May of 2006. In fall of 2004, he passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam on his first attempt. His overall studies focus in many aspects of structural design, including: steel, steel connections, concrete, wood, and earthquake design, among others. In his course of studies, he has also learned many aspects of architectural, construction management, electrical, lighting, mechanical, and acoustical design, which allow him to better analyze the building as a whole. He has applied his training over a summer internship at L. Robert Kimball & Associates' main office in Ebensburg, PA.
