Mike Synnott's Bio

Mike Synnott was born and raised in southwestern Pennsylvania, where he went to school at Peters Twp High School. During his sophomore year of high school, Mike took his first architecture class called Architectural Processes, where he designed a house taking into consideration spacing, loads, and the use of AutoCAD LT. This is where he first discovered his love of Architecture. With math and physics being two of his favorite subjects, going to The Pennsylvania State University for Architectural Engineering seemed a perfect fit.  He is currently in his fifth year at Penn State in the Structural option of Architectural Engineering and knows it is what he wants to do for the rest of his life.  Through course work he has become proficient in the use of AutoCAD and has considerable knowledge in the design of a building, both aesthetically and structurally.  During his 5th year Mike became the vice president of SEA, the Structural Engineers Association. Mike is determined to continue playing Ultimate Frisbee as much as possible even with the course load in AE.  Mike feels his work on his Senior Thesis Project, on Towers Crescent Building Bs structural system, will be excellent practical training in his final year at Penn State.  He remains eager to enter the real world and begin his professional life.
