Thesis Proposal
This thesis proposal includes an in depth look at the structural redesign
for Parkview at Bloomfield Station. Included is the rational for the change
from shear walls as the lateral force resisting system to a steel braced
frame, and a timeline outlining the procedure to accomplish these changes
throughout the upcoming semester. This proposal is the based on the results
from Technical Assignments 1 thru 3. Along with this primary redesign, two
breadth items, the EIFS cladding and the construction sequencing, will be
investigated and redesigned to evaluate the efficiency of the current system.
