Technical Assignment 1
Technical assignment #1 defines the structural concepts and existing strucural
conditions report for Parkview at Bloomfiled Station. Within this report
there is a building overview and calculations of wind and seismic loads.
In addition, a lateral analysis of one shear wall is completed, and floor
framing elements are checked.
Technical Assignment 2
A comparative analysis of 5 alternate floor system for Parkview at Bloomfield
Station is evaluated in technical assignment #2. The floor systems (bar
joist with metal decking, hollow core planks, concrete pan joists, waffle
flat slab and pre-stress concrete slab) were compared to the current Hambro
floor system. A full calculation apendix and comparison chart is included
at the end of this report.
Technical Assignment 3
A more complete look at the lateral force resisting structure of Parkview
at Bloomfiled Station, including a computer analysis, is conducted in Technical
assignment #3. Computer and hand calculations of the wind and seismic loads
on the building are compared and utilized in shear wall design within this
report.
