AE 481W/482 Course Reflection

Although this class was the hardest of all classes I have taken in this AE major, it was very beneficial since this course requires to integrate practically all the knowledge I earned through the entire program of architectural engineering. It is regretful that I feel somewhat did not ask sufficient help to my advisors and this should be improved once I go into the industry of lighting designing. Although electrical and mechanical are not going to be my field of work, it was useful to refresh my memory from the classes I took before and I believe it is going to be useful to integrate the knowledge from these options with lighting and daylighting to have an overview of architectural engineering field.

CPEP & Discussion Board Reflection

Since this CPEP website functioned not only "one class" in my architectural engineering program but also as my portfolio to be viewed by companies, it was stimulating to achieve good qualities in my technical assignments and presentations. Also CPEP is a great way to communicate with my faculties and Discussion Board members since everything is posted online and easily accessible to the files necessary. Considering the fact this CPEP saves much paper for submissions and time, this can be a new way of education system.

Although I personally did not take much advantage of Discussion Board by posting my own questions, Discussion Board is somewhat revolutionary in education also and I am very thankful to all the advisors and outside consultants to be available always. There were many posts that were related to my thesis and it was simply helpful to be able to view them easily. The response time seemed very short always. However, this could have never been achieved without volunteering by these Discussion Board members and I would like to thank them again here.
