Anthony Nicastro

Anthony Nicastro is currently majoring in Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis and minoring in Architecture at The Pennsylvania State University. He is pursuing his Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degrees while minoring in Architecture with intent to graduate in May 2006. His training emphasizes structural engineering but also addresses architecture to a high degree, and he is excited to bring his varied educational background to new experiences post-graduation. As a member of the Schreyer’s Honor’s College, Anthony has received several scholarships including the Schreyer's Honors College Merit Scholarship, the PSU College of Engineering Merit Scholarship, and the National Merit Scholarship from American Home Products. His professional experience includes three summer internships that have provided varied work experience in nearly every relevant aspect of engineering including everything from structural design to CAD rendering to project management, as well as estimating. Anthony has also gained valuable leadership experience by leading the Student Society of Architectural engineers as President and Treasurer, served as Vice President of the Engineering Undergraduate Council for two years as well as Chairman of the Fundraising committee, served as class officer for S:PACE and maintained membership in Phi Alpha Epsilon AE Honor Society and the Structural Engineer’s Association. Anthony also studied abroad in Penn State’s Sedia di Roma Architecture program in order to achieve an international perspective with regard to architecture.
