BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Aaron Snyder is presently in his fifth year of study in the structural option of the ABET accredited Architectural Engineering program at Penn State. He is finishing an integrated Bachelors and Masters Degree in Architectural Engineering and plans to graduate in December of 2006.

Aaron's interest in engineering had always been apparent throughout his time at Parkland High School in Allentown, Pa. He excelled in math and shared extra circular time both on the playing fields and in the research and engineering labs. Penn State was an easy decision for Aaron; however, it proved more difficult to choose between all of the possible engineering disciplines offered by the University. Architecture and the building form are what eventually caught his attention and the rest is "history".

Aaron strives to learn as much as he can both in and out of the classroom, attempting to be a well rounded engineer and be mindful of other construction disciplines. For this reason, Aaron worked in construction management with Alvin H. Butz, Inc. as an assistant project manager. Through his time in construction management, he developed a practical sense of structural design and witnessed first hand his ideas and hard work paying off on the job site.

Aaron is a member of the Penn State Student Society of Architectural Engineers and the Penn State branch of Structural Engineers Association. He enjoys the outdoors by regularly escaping into the wilderness to hike, camp, canoe, scuba, and ski. He also regularly competes on intramural teams and enjoyed time abroad and take advantage of every opportunity to travel to foreign countries, and Canada.

Aaron successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination in April of 2005. After graduation he plans to implement what he has gained from his experiences and persue a Professional Engineering license. Aaron is excited to graduate and begin developing a career as a respected professional of structural design and engineering.
