Chris Hoyman

Chris Hoyman is an Architectural Engineering student at Penn State University. He is presently in his fifth year of study focusing in lighting and electrical design. Chris will graduate in May 2006 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree. At an early age, Chris showed an interest in designing and building, and the lighting/electrical option allowed him to develop his technical and creative talents. Internships with the University’s Office of Physical Plant have allowed Chris to gain experience in a design office. Chris worked on numerous lighting and electrical designs during his time at OPP, increasing his knowledge of both systems. He also developed the ability to work close with clients while presenting ideas and progress on the projects. In addition to course work, Chris is a member of the Penn State student chapter of the IES. He stays active by running and fencing with a hometown club. Following graduation, Chris hopes to use his educational background to obtain and succeed in a sales position for a lighting or electrical equipment manufacturer.
