David Melfi is in his fifth year at the Pennsylvania State University. He is pursuing his Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering degrees in the Mechanical System Design option as well as minors in Engineering Leadership Development and Architectural Studies. He intends to graduate in May of 2006. David is originally from Stamford, CT, but has traveled considerably since enrolling at Penn State. David took the opportunity to live in Rome, Italy in the summer of 2004 while taking architecture courses and finishing a minor there. In the Summer of 2005, he took an internship at Advanced Technologies, Inc., a MEP design firm located in Houston, Texas. This internship allowed him to work on many small commercial building projects in the mechanical and electrical fields of study. David enjoys his free time by staying active, playing intramural sports, running, and playing the guitar. David's career plans include gaining more practical design experience, becoming Professional Engineer, and taking on new challenges as they develop in the mechanical field.
